Gehraiyaan, a 2022 Indian romantic comedy film, was directed by Shakun Btra. He also wrote the script along with Sumit Roy, Ayesha Devitre and Yash Shai. The film was produced by Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios. It stars Deepika Padukone and Ananya Panday. Rajat Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah are supporting roles.

Gehraiyaan was premiered on Amazon Prime Video on February 11, 2022. It received mixed to positive reviews from critics. They were impressed by the soundtrack, cinematography, and performances of the cast. Shah and Padukone received praise, but there was criticism about its story and ending.
Alisha Khanna (Al), a 30-year old yoga instructor, is currently working on an app. She struggles to find investors and provides for Karan Arora, her unemployed boyfriend. Due to her mother Sonali’s suicide, she suffers anxiety and is now estranged from Vinod. Alisha’s cousin Tia Tia “Ti”, who is engaged to Zain Oberoi, invites them to their Alibaug beach home. Alisha and Zain bond over their traumatizing pasts and are open to flirting with one another.
Alisha later kisses him and regrets it. However, she learns that Karan allowed Tia to review his draft. She feels hurt because she had long asked to see it. They have an affair and she allows Zain in.
Zain uses his business to invest into Alisha’s mobile app. He tells her about his violent father and mother who encouraged him to move to America. Alisha is then presented with Karan’s proposal in front of his entire family, friends, Tia, Zain and his other relatives. To focus on her new beginnings, she ends her affair and marriage to Zain.
After discovering that Karan’s book was rejected before he proposed to her, she broke up with him. They continue to have an affair. Zain tells her that after she returns her investment in his company, he will end their relationship with Tia. Zain’s company invests again in Alisha’s app and gives her a new studio.
